AdBIOPRO Bioreactor Course
Learn about bioprocessing and hands on scale up production using bioreactors
Please NOTE the date has changed to avoid clashing with the BiotechBuilder network event 27th August.
WHEN – 26th August 9:30-16:00
WHERE – seminar room Von Behring, ANA Futura level 9, Alfred Nobels Allé 8, 141 83 Huddinge.
WHAT – The course will deliver knowledge on process development for the production of biopharmaceuticals for cell therapy.
WHO – The course is aimed at those with a strong biological background, but whom are new to bioreactor culture. Veronique Chotteau from KTH is leading the course from ≥ 20 years experience of developing bioprocesses for the commercial production of biopharmaceuticals, including ≥ 10 years in industry. Since several years her group at KTH has focused as well on bioprocesses for cell therapy and gene therapy. Veronique will provide printed copies of her slides.
REGISTER with Nicolina Renkvist latest Monday the 20th August
The program is as follows:
09.30 – 10.15: Introduction to process for the manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals – General introduction and similarities with manufacturing for cell therapy
10.30 – 11.15: Review of cell metabolism relevant for the cell cultivation and application to process design – Metabolism, medium design
11.30 – 12.15 Culture in batch, fed-batch and perfusion modes
